Throughout the peninsula, El Camino Real is infamous for its surface parking lots, car dealerships and dive restaurants. But, as the face of Silicon Valley is changing, so is El Camino Real.
The intent of the architectural design of the exterior and interior was to retain the existing concrete and wood frame palette and compliment it with painted steel, wood screens, board formed concrete, and new steel & glass window systems. Improvements at the existing Equinox entry were designed to connect it to the improvements along El Camino Real and establish a new vocabulary for the design of the larger mixed-use project.
