Talayeh Hamidya

Talayeh joined HYA in 2021, amidst the pandemic. She is a native of Iran, citizen of Canada and a guest to the US. Her formal education is informed by Western architecture while her architectural intuition is rooted in her Persian heritage. She practices architecture as a meditation on the material and immaterial world and is usually inclined towards play and intrigue in her designs. She is a graduate of University of Waterloo with a Master’s degree in architecture and an executed thesis in ‘Tactical Urbanism’. She has worked in various offices in Canada and the US since 2006. She loves living in California, close to nature and immersed in it. Her personal time is dedicated to reading, creating, having inspiring conversations with friends and cooking.
