Samantha Senn

Sam joined the HYA team in 2019. She has a Masters of Architecture from the University of Michigan, and an undergraduate degree in Fine Art, with an emphasis in sculpture, from SF State University. Sam has had an interdisciplinary career. She worked in high end residential design in San Francisco, taking the lead on both historic remodels and modern ground-up residences. She has also maintained an active art and design practice. Highlights include a residency as an Affiliate Artist at Headlands Center for the Arts, managing the 3D-printing lab at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), and co-founding a furniture studio, Extra Special. Sam brings her creative sensibility and hands-on fabrication experience to her work at HYA. In her free time, Sam likes to travel with her family in their van. They enjoy visiting the state’s abundant mountains, deserts and beaches.
